If you are taking pain meds everyday it can cause rebound headaches, and they are usually worse than the original headache. You should go to the Dr most likely it is nothing more than a migraine, but could be something more. There are a lot of medication options now days, so go talk to your Dr, and if you have access go to a chiropractor, it has helped me a lot.

Are you sure they’re migraines? Migraines have a very specific set of symptoms, not just head pain. These usually include nausea with or without vomitting, visual disturbances like seeing spots and auras around lights, sensitivity to light and sound, and pain more on one side of the head than the other. Alot of people call all bad headaches migraines, thinking that this is merely a term of severity.
Women are prone to migraines during ovulation and again right before their period starts. Food sensitivities can cause migraines and the worst offenders are cheese (especially sharp or aged cheese like cheddar and parmesan), nuts (especially peanuts), wine, grapes, MSG, Nutrasweet (also called aspartame), caffeine, chocolate (especially dark chocolate). If your doctor suspects food triggers, you will go on a diet to eliminate these things then add them back in one at a time to see what might cause the migraines. But you can do this yourself without a doctor’s direction. Keep a journal of everything you eat or drink and how you feel each day.
Also, bad headaches can be caused by vision that needs correction, lack of water (you need half your body weight in ounces at least each day), over heating, high blood pressure, among many other things.
Drink lots of water. Keep track of your mentrual cycle so you know when you’re due to start, etc. Keep a food/drink journal and keep track of your symptoms daily. It took me about a year of careful watching to figure out what things trigger my migraines and also what kinds of treatments work and don’t work.
